Today, the Montreal and Ottawa Meshcore users could see each other’s advertisement. It wasn’t reliable in any shape or form, but it happened.
This is the second time we observe such phenomenon. We think we’ll soon have a repeater to complete the missing chain, but right now our understanding is that this is not normal propagation and instead a phenomenon known to (amateur) radio operators as tropospheric propagation or atmospheric ducting.
We believe the phenomenon to be temporary, but it shows we need to figure out a regions strategy sooner than later, which may be discussed here in Thoughts: Canadian Regions Strategy .
