For most of us, the Public channel will be very busy with more or less useful information.
So to advance the mesh to a reliable source of useful information, I would like to propose some channels with topics that could add some additional value to the mesh.
#news a channel to share news articles. I try to share at least one news item a day which I found interesting and might be interesting to others as well. I usually send the article title as one message and the link as a second message.
#local which a channel that might be interesting in the future when we can limit the number of hops per channel (e.g. 4-8) and share highly localised information about upcoming events, road closures etc.
Moreover, I briefly thought about #traffic, however you should not text and drive and I am not sure what information could be shared that your navigation app not already knows.
